Edson ArantesdoNascimento  better known as Pelé was born certificate,  on 21 October 1940 – however, Pelé claims himself that he was born on 23 October), He is regarded by many expert and football critics, as the best player of all time. In 1999, he was voted World Player of the Century by the International Federation of Football History. . Pelé was also elected "Athlete of the Century" by the International Olympic Committee. He is the most successful league goal scorer in the world, with 541 league goals. In total Pelé scored 1281 goals in 1363 games, for which he was honored by the Guinness World Records. During his career, he became known as "The Black Pearl"  "The King of Football" 

He was trained since birth to become great by his father. (who was the top scorer in every season he played for, for every team) at 15 and he played his national team at 16, and won his first World Cup. In 1961 President Jânio Quadros had Pelé declared a national treasure thus enabling Santos to keep Pelé for almost two decades until 1974. With Pele Santos reached the Zenith and soon In 1962 Santos became the first football club. Pelé played most of his career as a deep-lying forward. Pelé's technique and natural athleticism have been universally praised and  he was renowned for his excellent dribbling and passing, his pace, powerful shot, and prolific goals coring.

He is the all-time leading scorer of the Brazil national football team and is the only footballer to be a part of three World Cup-winning squads.  In November 2007, FIFA announced that he would be awarded to be the only player in the world to have three World Cup winning medals.

Pelé won his first major title with Santos in 1958

Wearing his iconic number 10 shirt, Pelé produced one of his best ever performances and scored a hat-trick in Lisbon, as Santos beat the European champions 5–2. 

 On 19 November 1969, Pelé scored his 1000th goal in all competitions. This was a highly anticipated moment in Brazil. The goal, called popularly O Milésimo (The Thousandth), occurred in a match against Vasco da Gama, when Pelé scored from a penalty kick, at the Maracanã Stadium.

Today he is the face of many multinational brands, in fact he has always been an advocate of intercourse for players saying, ‘’ Sex is a gift from God, a good thing, you know, always should do with your partner’’
